Where clinical excellence meets systems thinking
About Me

Don’t walk in front of me, I may not follow.
Don’t walk behind me, I may not lead.
Walk beside me, and just be my friend.

Peter Hong, D.C.
After graduating from Northwestern College of Chiropractic in 1979, I embarked on a clinical journey that spanned more than four decades. Eighteen of those years were spent in British Columbia before I established my practice in Hong Kong, where I continued to serve patients and evolve my approach to care.
Today, my focus has shifted from clinical practice to teaching and advancing the field of chiropractic. My early years in the profession were shaped by a conventional, fragmented landscape—divided by techniques and philosophies, each claiming superiority but often lacking scientific grounding. Back then, concepts like “patient-centered care” and “evidence-based practice” were not yet part of our vocabulary. Though the profession has progressed, fragmentation persists—underscoring the need for integrated, evidence-informed care that centers on the patient.
This disconnection inspired the development of Systems Chiropractic, a comprehensive approach that integrates humanistic principles with scientific understanding. Through decades of clinical experience and practical application, these methods evolved to bridge the gap between traditional chiropractic wisdom and modern scientific principles. Throughout my career, I have worked on pioneering postural assessment methodologies and developing a previously patented device for detecting spinal segmental dysfunction.
These innovations have helped shape a more systematic approach to care. Having recently published my book on Systems Chiropractic, I now dedicate my time to teaching, collaborating, and elevating chiropractic education. My mission remains consistent: to advance the profession through evidence-based practice, interactive learning, and thought leadership.
The quote above captures my teaching philosophy perfectly—growth is a natural phenomenon that extends beyond its source. The world evolves when those who seek knowledge surpass those who share it.
